PLN #1--My Educational Toolkit
I am a Elementary Education Major with an emphasis in Middle School Education. My focus of my LiveBinder is fourth grade. I chose fourth grade for my focus area because ultimately I would love to teach fourth grade once a get my degree. My LiveBinder is http://www.livebinders.com/play/play?present=true&id=1642535 .
Something I've learned about using LiveBinders is the quick tour you can take once you get started. LiveBinder is a very helpful and useful because of all the information to can use. I will use this website and information in the future. When using LiveBinders you could copy the link for the student's parents.
Using Blogs in Classroom
One way teachers use blogs in the classrooms is for the teachers to post about their classroom announcements and assignments to the students. The blog in the classroom is a place for everyone to see that is going on and the announcements. Maybe a student missed an announcement in class they can look on the teachers blog to reread the announcements. The teacher can post different articles and things she talked about in class that day.
Another way teachers use blogs in the classroom is to post online discussion questions for the students. The teacher can post a discussion post for each students to reply and read another students post. You could post a article and have the the students read the article and answer a discussion question about it. Another possible way for teachers to use blogs in have a running assignment for the students to work on there own blog throughout the semester.

My Professional Learning Network Project
The purpose of my blog is for the students and teachers to have benefits of different learning styles. You can develop network learning for different teachers. In your own classroom, the teacher will have a collection of ideas and your blog is the place where you can store the ideas. My blog will be like a Pinterest but with writing of ideas for different class.
What I hope to get out of this assignment is different ways to present classroom ideas. This assignment will give me a greater understanding of ways to use blogs in classrooms. Blogging will help with communication between the teacher and the parents of each students. Another thing I will get out of this assignment is to learn more about networking and how to blog more.
